The idea: The close, offset lines make “Umber House” feel personal and studio-made while keeping the full name at the center.

Layout: Stack “Umber” above “House” in a compact arrangement, with the lower line slightly offset for a relaxed, handmade feel. Shape the U and H with soft serif details that remain recognizable when the lettering is reduced.
Lettering: Custom hand-lettered soft serif, with carefully balanced letter widths and a close, compact stacked setting.
Color: Set the primary lettering in terracotta (#B5543C), using slate (#2A3D45) for strong contrast in a two-color version; mustard (#E9C46A) can be a small accent. Keep all colors flat and ensure the wordmark also holds in one color.
