About this design
- The idea
- Nightowl gets a lively streetwear feel from the forward-leaning letters, while one small eye gives the name an owl-like wink.
- Layout
- A compact, slightly forward-leaning wordmark with crisp, condensed letterforms. Let the counter of the first o in “owl” hold a tiny pupil, so the eye is part of the letter rather than an added symbol.
- Lettering
- Custom condensed, gently slanted sans-serif lettering with clear lowercase forms and a carefully shaped o counter; spell “Nightowl” exactly.
- Color
- Set most of the lettering in red (#C1121F), with restrained black (#111111) details and clean white (#FFFFFF) counters. Keep the red dominant and use the black only to make the small eye detail read clearly.
