About this design
- The idea
- The sturdy, sign-like lettering gives the company name a proud, family-owned feel without adding an icon.
- Layout
- A two-line, text-only arrangement: “Delaney” on the first line and “Electric Co.” below, aligned to create a firm rectangular shape. Give the letters a subtle heritage character through broad slab-like forms, without adding a border or badge.
- Lettering
- Custom lettering based on a heavy slab-serif style, retaining the exact name and capitalization. Use sturdy serifs and open counters so the two-line wordmark remains legible at small sizes.
- Color
- Set the wordmark primarily in bright blue (#1E6FD9), with sky blue (#7CC4F2) used sparingly on “Electric Co.” or a few broad letter details. Use white (#FFFFFF) only for a reverse-on-blue version.
