About this design
- The idea
- A small flame tucked into the E links the letter directly to candlelight while keeping the full name clear beneath it.
- Layout
- Set a sturdy, slightly imperfect E above the exact name “Elm & Ember” in smaller lettering. Shape a simple flame in the E’s upper counter so it reads as part of the letter rather than a separate icon.
- Lettering
- Draw the E as a custom, broad-stroke letter with a carefully defined flame-shaped opening; set “Elm & Ember” in small, understated serif lettering.
- Color
- Make the E mustard (#E9C46A), with terracotta (#B5543C) used for the name beneath it and as a crisp flame-shaped cutout within the upper part of the letter.
