- The idea
- A tailored, serif U gives Uptown Salon a refined look while keeping the salon’s initial recognizable on its own.
- Layout
- Pair a tall, elegant U with clear tapered strokes and a refined curved base with the smaller name directly beneath. Keep the U’s silhouette simple enough to hold together as an app icon.
- Lettering
- Use a restrained modern serif for the smaller “Uptown Salon” lettering. Shape the U as a bespoke serif letterform with carefully balanced stroke contrast.
- Color
- Render both the U and “Uptown Salon” in #111111 against white, with open white space around the forms and no additional colors.
